headed South on 5 freeway
We are on the east side of the 5 freeway between Old Town and Downtown. Heading south on 5 you will exit Washington Street. Turn left under the freeway, at the second stop light make a right onto India Street. We are one block down on the left hand side.
Headed NORTH ON 5 freeway
Heading North on 5 you will exit Washington Street, which will automatically put you onto India Street. Move over to the right hand lane, we are directly opposite the first stop sign that you reach.
Parking
As in most San Diego neighborhoods parking can be quite challenging, but if you know where to go there's plenty of parking (all within a two block radius of the Shakespeare)
Here are a few tips to prevent you from driving round & round in circles looking for that perfect parking spot:
Car park
There’s a car park behind the Pub as well as street parking in & around the neighborhood. You are allowed to park in commercial zone (yellow curb) after 6:00pm and the meters are also free after 6:00pm Park in El Indio's lot at your own risk (they do tow).
If you can’t find parking directly outside the Pub, there’s always plenty of parking on San Diego Avenue 200 yds. directly across from the Pub running parallel to the east side of I-5. San Diego Avenue can be accessed from the pub parking lot by making a left on Winder, a right on Columbia Street and then a right on Chalmers.
